I edged twelve more feet of the lawn. This time I was better prepared. I decided in advance what I was going to do; which tools I needed and the extent of my actions today. Yesterday I edged around the stack of bricks. There was a lot of rubble in the ground making it very difficult to excavate. Today I was able to work and not do so much damage to the lawn. A string line was helpful.

I set up a everything to do a fine screen. I am better satisfied. It may seem a little excessive to go through so much effort to have this apron along the fence. The other side of the fence in the alley needs shaping for drainage. I put a couple of yards of the screenings across the back to get the fence installed. I left it with a rough grade. Once I get the inside done, I can shape a gutter between the fence and the edge of the alley.
